Joseph “Pali” Palencsar, 93, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on January 1, 2019 at Oregon Healthcare in Oregon, OH. He was born on September 15, 1925 to Tomas and Anna (Urbaniak) Palencsar in Toledo, OH. Joseph proudly served his country as a Flight Engineer, working on B-22 Bombers during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He graduated from Assumption College (University of Windsor) with a BA in Finance, and later retired in 1984 from his job with the USPS as a chief finance examiner after more than 30 years. He was a member of VFW Post #4906, an avid golfer and fisherman, and enjoyed many trips to “The Bush” to spend time at his cottage in Canada on Lake Tomiko. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Gertrude; son, Jack; siblings, Stephen, Thomas, John, and Mary. He is survived by his children, Patti (Chuck) Rutherford, Joey, Janice; grandchildren, Charlie (Valerie) Rutherford, Jamie (Larry) Carroll, Kaitlyn Palencsar, Madison (Ram) Palencsar-Gunta; step-grandson, Adam (Melissa) Murphy; great-grandchildren, Logan and Charli Carroll; dear friend and caretaker, Judy Dybala.
