Joseph Lawrence Montz

Joseph L. Montz, 48, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2025. Joe was born on February 11, 1977, in Oregon, Ohio, to Alvin and Margaret (Mazur) Montz. He graduated from Rossford High School in 1995 and worked in the culinary industry as a manager at Pizza Hut before serving as a cook and transport driver for Trilogy Health Services.

Joe loved building Legos and spending Saturday evenings watching movies with his dad while enjoying a bag of popcorn. He had a caring heart and loved taking care of others, including his family, friends, and especially the residents at Genoa Retirement Village. Joe was a Past Worthy President and current member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2322 and a lifelong member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by his father, Alvin; sister, Diana (Boyd) Watts; nephew, Christopher; niece, Jessica; along with his uncle Chester (Sandie) Montz. He was preceded in death by his mother.

The family will receive friends at the Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 am in All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road Rossford, where the family will greet friends at 10:00 am. Private interment: Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover unexpected funeral expenses in Joe's honor.
