Joseph E. Kozak, 82, of Genoa died early Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Joe was born January 11, 1930, in Clay Center, Ohio, to Adam and Mary Tokar Kozak. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired in 1991 after 43 years working at Libbey-Owens-Ford Rossford Plant. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. Joe enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, working crossword puzzles and playing the Lottery, especially the instant Lottery tickets. Joe mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Joe is survived by his children, David Lynne Kozak, Linda Chuck Brown both of Malinta, OH, Mike Betty Kozak of Clay Center and Sandra Kozak of Genoa, his grandchildren, Adam Jamie Brown, Dan Green and Rebecca Green, great grandchildren, Kegan and Konner Brown, and sister, Frances Vargo of Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Stephen and John Kozak, and sisters, Mary Mitchell, Anna Kozak and Veronica Nero. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, followed by interment in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Memorials for Joe may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
