Joseph A. Kondalski, age 68, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The son of Joseph and Cora, he was born Jun 16, 1939 in Detroit, MI. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Josephs High School in Detroit. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit and earned his MBA from the University of Toledo. Joe married the love of his life, Barbara, on July 7, 1962 and enjoyed nearly 46 years together. He was an Electrical Engineer for Owens Corning retiring in 1999. He enjoyed playing tennis and hunting, and loved the trips out to Nebraska and Iowa with his hunting buddies. He was a member of the Toledo Tennis Club and Electrical Contractors Association. His faith was an important part of his life and was able to live out his faith through his activities with the Knights of Columbus and Christ the King Church. Joe served on the finance committee, Eucharistic minister, parish council, as well as an altar server. He was proud to work the parish festival each year as one of the kitchen crew. He also gave of his time as a coach for cross country, track, and basketball. Joe always gave of himself to others, whether at the church or helping with an electrical problem for a friend. His family was the most important part of his life and he cherished his time with them and the many family trips over the years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Joseph Kim, Michael Mark, Martha John Baird, Alicia Tom Pruss; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Ann, Jerome Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 2-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd with a Rosary Thursday evening. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of the Resurrection at Christ the King at 10:00 AM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donors choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
