Joseph T. Hollo, 86, of Oregon, OH passed away on March 31, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Twp. Joe was born in Toledo, OH to Joseph G. Hollo and Mary (Csizek) Hollo, May 5, 1929. He was a 1947 graduate of Clay High School and attended The University of Toledo. Joe was a Korean War era veteran with the 11th Airborne Division. Joe was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Toledo, for 50 years, was on Parish Council and was an Usher. The past several years he was a member of St. Jerome, Walbridge. Joe was a member of Cardinal Stritch School Board, Stritch Advisory Council and President of Cardinal Club. He was a member of G.A.F. Society, Trustee with Toledo Swiss Society, was on Oregon Senior Center Board of Directors, Oregon Community Reinvestment Housing Council, an Oregon Precinct Committee Person and a life-long member of the Oregon Democrat Club. Joe was also a member of Christ Dunberger American Legion Post and Arthur Daly Post. Joe is survived by his wife Marianne (Strick), son Michael, daughter Linda Ann Peer, granddaughters Megan Peer and Sandra Borer, great grandchildren Hanna and Brenden Borer of Powell, Ohio. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law James and William Strick. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
