Joseph Wesley Fife

Joseph W. Fife, age 83 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born in Lima, Ohio on November 23, 1934 to John Fife and Angela M. (James Melvin) Lowe. Joe graduated from Lima High School and also attended The Ohio State University and the University of Toledo. He worked 15 years at Metropolitan Life, 10 years at LOF, and Joe also founded Fife and Sons Carpet Cleaning in 1978. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and was also a lifetime member of the Maumee Elks. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, M. Joanne Fife; 8 children, Debbie (Jim) Maedel, Kerry Head, Rebecca (Michael) Overholt, Joe (Sonia) Fife, John (Sue) Fife, Julie (Marty) Powell, David Fife, Vicki (Michael) Watts; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren on the way; brother-in-law, Darrell Wilson; sister-in-law, Wanda Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary (Harold) Davey; brother, John Fife; sister-in-law, Linda Wheeler, brother-in-law, Dick Wilson. Friends and Family will be received on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 9-10 A.M. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo; with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10 A.M.
