Joseph "Joe" B. Feeney

March 11, 1932 — April 28, 2025

PORT CLINTON: Joseph (Joe) B. Feeney, 93, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Parkvue Community Chalet, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 11, 1932, in Ridgefield, NJ, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Jennings) Feeney. Joe graduated from Fordham University in 1953 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1950-1954, stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX. Upon graduation he worked for the U.S. Rubber Company in Passaic, NJ. On August 13,1960 at Epiphany Church in Cliffside, Park, NJ, he married Dolores G. Bell. They moved to Port Clinton in 1968 as Joe was tasked with opening a rubber belting plant for U.S. Rubber/Uniroyal. In 1978 he joined industrial distributor Derkin & Wise in Toledo and built solid relationships with his many customers in northwest Ohio until his retirement in 1998. He was a devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Joe was a member of the Port Clinton Elks Club and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow members. He was friendly and curious and liked to ask lots of questions. While most of his adult life was spent in Ohio, he was always proud of his New Jersey roots and never fully lost the distinct eastern accent.

Survivors include: Daughters: Terry (Bob) Ernst of Cincinnati, OH and Maureen "Mo" (Ron) Reese of Westerville, OH; Son: Joe Feeney of Brecksville, OH; Grandchildren: Mary (Brandon) Miller and Will (Annie) Ernst; Connor, Logan, Liam and Chloe Feeney; Great-Granddaughter Leah Miller; Sister: Margaret O’Brien of Scarsdale, NY; Brother: John T. Feeney of Towson, MD; and many Nieces and Nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Dolores (Bell), and parents and sister Eileen Lynch, and brother James Feeney.

The Feeney family would like to thank the staff at Parkvue Chalet Assisted Living Residence for their compassionate and loving care for their Dad the last four years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
