Davis Joseph J. Jim Joseph J. Jim Davis, age 84 of Temperance, MI passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, surrounded by his family. Jim was born November 26, 1924 in Bowling Green, OH to Joseph and Edna Davis. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1943 and remained active with the reunion committee. A veteran of the US Navy, Jim worked at Haughton Elevator Company for 35 years before retiring in 1985 as National Sales Manager. After retiring, he and his wife became active in the camping community with Jim serving as president of the Northwest Ohio chapter of NCHA. He was an avid fisherman and gardener but his greatest joy was time spent with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Alice, with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage with on April 16, 2009; children, James E. Jeanne Davis, Denise A. Roger Pakulski, Michael E. Lori Davis, and Sue E. Rick King; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ensey. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Mark. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Sylvania. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
