Joseph Arnold Brodie, a beloved father, friend, and dedicated salesman, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Perrysburg, OH at the age of 87 after a long and fulfilling life. Born on April 22, 1938, in Detroit, MI, Joseph's journey was one of perseverance, love, and joy, which he shared with those around him.
Joseph enjoyed a successful career in the food service industry, where he proudly served as a salesman for ConAgra. His colleagues admired his commitment and enthusiasm, reflecting his passion for connecting with people. He carried his optimistic spirit into every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He played football and ran track at Findlay College from 1956-1960 and was Inducted into University of Findlay Hall of Fame in 1996, where he graduated in 1964 with a BS degree.
His legacy lives on through his adoring family: sons Kyle, Scott, and Steven Brodie, along with his daughter Shanna Denman, 12 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Joseph was a loving father who inspired his children with his warmth and generosity. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and his unmatched sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Brodie; mother, Elizabeth Brodie and loving wife, Betty Brodie, whom he married November 22, 1958 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
Friends will be received on Saturday January 17, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee
(104 W. Broadway) from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
He was a great athlete and a great father.
