Joseph Joe P. Bodi, 76, of Millbury, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, after a short illness. Joe was born November 9, 1935, to Emery and Lillian Huss Bodi. He married Carolyn A. Schultheis and she survives. Joe retired after 34 years from L.O.F., East Broadway and Rossford plants. Joe enjoyed wood carving and many things he made were given to family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and bird watching. Joe was a huge fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines football and after retiring, worked at the Big House installing new aluminum bleachers. He was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Joe was forever the prankster. He would give the grandchildren duct tape for Christmas. He was lovingly known as Grampa Grump-a kind-hearted person, rough on the outside but soft on the inside. In addition to his wife, Carolyn, Joe is survived by his sons, John Nancy Bodi, Jeff Bodi, and Allen Bodi, daughters, Jenene Eric Wolfe and Annette Dixon, step daughters, Kelly Craig Justus and Karen Wayne Meek, step son, Doug Laurie Kalmbach, his dog, Junior, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his brother, Russell Kathy Bodi and sister, Jeanne Helle. His parents and brother, Owen Bodi, preceded him in death. At Joes request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place under the direct care of Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory in Genoa. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to the charity of the donors choice or to the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
