Joseph “Joe” Belinske, III, age 88 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1933 in Toledo to Joseph and Wilma (Langley) Belinske, II. While attending Toledo University, Joseph was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served during the Korean War. Being in the service gave Joe a life-long passion for military history and his country. Joe married the love of his life, Sandy, in 1954. During his younger years you would likely find him at a gym somewhere in Toledo. He was a fitness enthusiast, participating in the Olympic trials as a wrestler and winning the Mr. Toledo bodybuilding contest in 1953. Later in life, he enjoyed golfing, snow skiing and sailboat racing; winning countless competitions in all activities. He and his family enjoyed spending time with friends traveling to destinations where they could enjoy these sports together. His friends and family would know him best as being quick-witted, full of jokes, and always the entertainer. He was a skilled carpenter and in 1962, built the home where they raised their family. His skills lead to a lifelong career as a real estate developer during which he established several business properties and built their dream home in Hilton Head. It all started with a kiss on the front porch.
