Jose C. Rodriguez, Sr.

Jose C. Rodriguez, Sr., 83, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on November 3, 2013 at the Manor of Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 28, 1930 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Catarino and Jauna C. (Rebulloso) Rodriguez and he married Ofilia Campos on January 20, 1958 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Jose worked for several years as truck driver before becoming a Dye setter and forklift operator. He worked for over 36 years at Peter Stamping Co. and later Impact Stamping. He retired as a Dye Setter for Acklan Stamping in Toledo in 1991. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Jose is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ofilia Rodriguez, children, Jose C. Rodriguez, Jr., Ralph (Kathy) Rodriguez, Yolanda Caplinger, Rosendo (Elisa) Rodriguez, Elida Rodriguez, Miguel (Sandy) Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez, step-sons, Daniel Gusman and Alfredo Gusman and 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jésus Rodriguez. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) where a scripture service will be held at 7:00. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg, Ohio at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Manor at Perrysburg.
