Jose Guadalupe Abrego Sr.

Jose passed unexpectedly at home on July 18th 2026. Jose was born to Angelita Delafuente and Ignacio Abrego Sr. in Port Clinton, on July 21, 1976 He graduated From Port Clinton High School in 1994. He married his long-time partner Monique Jones in Nov. 2006.

Jose was a big fan of Star Wars, Legos, Fishing and watching his favorite shows like Game Of Thrones, E.R, The Pitt. He also enjoyed his truck, especially since the kids were old enough not to leave fingerprints all over the windows.

Jose was an amazing father and did everything he could to make sure his kids had whatever they needed and wanted.

He is survived by is wife, Monique (Jones) His Children Rebecca (Devon) Shinn, Jose Jr, Mateo (Michael), Miguel, Samuel, and Isabella. His Step Children, Hazen, Carla (William) Wright, Donald Byram. His Grandchildren, Liara Shinn, William, Mason, and Jaxsyn Wright. His Siblings Nicolas (Anita) Abrego, Miguel (Chelie) Perez, and Carmela (Darrin) Perez. And many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Aunts Diana Delafuente, Natalie Martinez, Gertrude Gonzalez and his uncle Fransisco Delafuente.

He is proceeded in death by: his Son Alexander Abrego, His Mother Angelita Delafuente, Grandparents Antonia and Hericulo Delafuente, And Uncles Abel, Rocky and Lupe Delafuente.

Jose's family had a private showing with him to say their final goodbyes and he will be cremated.

Jose will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
