Joneal R Opblinger

Joneal R. Opblinger, 85, of Walbridge, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was born on March 29, 1933 in Bloomdale, Ohio to Jerome and Lottie (Fry) Fox. Joneal graduated as Valedictorian from Walbridge High School and attended the Mercy School of Nursing before marrying the love of her life, Don E. Opblinger, on August 26, 1955 at Grace United Methodist Church in Walbridge. Don and Joneal would have celebrated 63 wonderful years of marriage this week. Joneal was a Licensed Practical Nurse for St. Charles Hospital for 28 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joneal loved to bake, crochet and quilt, often lovingly making items for others to take home with them. Joneal will be missed by those she adored, including, her loving husband, Don E. Opblinger; children, Jeanne (David) Limpf, Lynn Opblinger, Jay (Karen) Opblinger, Ken (Emma) Opblinger, and Kelly (Todd) Gilsdorf; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat (Sandy) Fox, Mike Fox, Barbara (Don) Winkler, Konetta (Jerry) Fox, and many loving nieces and nephews. Joneal was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Lottie, daughter, Donna Opblinger and sisters, Marie Ceaderleaf and Frances Fox. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Martin Pennington, officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury.
