Jon “Wood” Stoll, Sr., 61, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born in Toledo to Grant and Betty (Laughlin) Stoll on November 18, 1960. Wood was a humble man who loved the simple things in life. He was extremely talented at body work, especially as a Corvette Specialist. He worked many years at American Custom Industries and excelled in his craft. He was known to his family as the guy who could fix anything. He loved working on projects and tinkering in the garage on cars, motorcycles, boats, really anything with a motor. His sense of humor was remarkable, and he really knew how to get a crowd engaged. His children and grandchildren were his world; he shared his love of craft with them and enjoyed every moment of it. Wood always kept busy and lately enjoyed watching John Wayne movies.
He is survived by his beloved bride, Cathy (Eichenberg) Stoll; children, Emily (Ryan) Hamen, Jon (Stacey) Stoll, II; grandchildren, James Stoll, Grace Stoll, Savannah Stoll, Kurt Hamen, Anora Hamen; his one sister Sandy Frankhauser (John), brother-in-law, Dennis (Linda) Eichenberg several nieces and nephews; many cousins, including Paul (Lorna), who was like a brother to him; Aunt Pat; and his adored fur babies, Ginger and Gus. He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and M.J. the pug.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH 43560. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the front office building at 10:45 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Walker Funeral Home, Toledo (419-841-2422).
