Jon Carl Patterson

October 14, 1946 — September 30, 2024

We lost a great man today. Jon Carl Patterson, 77, suddenly passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. He was born October 14, 1946 to Wilbur and Mary Lou Patterson in Findlay, Ohio.


He graduated from Owens Technical College and had a very successful career with General Mills for 33 years.


Always a man in service for others, Jon was an endeared coach and mentor to hundreds of youth. An Eagle Scout himself, he passionately served the Boy Scouts of America in many capacities, most recently as the Commissioner of the Swan Creek District.


Jon is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 57 years; children, Jill, Douglas, Stephen; grandchildren, Emma, Jon Clay, Chloe, Zachary, Gianna, Gavin, and Griffin; siblings, Joyce Gibson, Jane Greer, and Jeff Patterson; in laws, Barbara Nichter and Tim Nichter.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mary Lou, and his brother, Jim.


Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St, Perrysburg, OH 43551. Burial will be private.
