Johnnie F. Sanderson

Johnnie F. Sanderson, 75, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born in Hamilton, AL, on April 24, 1935, the daughter of Talmadge and Ada Sanderson Hamilton. On September 03, 1949 in Fulton, MS, she married J. D. Sanderson and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2001. Johnnie worked as a laborer for U. S. Gypsum for one year and at Wilson Cabinet Company. She also worked as a waitress at several area restaurants. Johnnie loved her flowers, crocheting and feeding the birds. Johnnie will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Son: Robert D. Sanderson of Port Clinton, OH; Daughters: Jean Herbert Askwith of North Palm Beach, FL and Patricia Gary Goff of Port Clinton, OH; Sisters: Elouise Bird of Alabama, Joe Stanford of Hollywood, FL, Ruby Duckworth of Fayette, AL, Mary McDaniel of Miramar, FL and Norma Pierce of Tennessee: Brother: Robert Hamilton of Hollywood, FL; Grandchildren: Tina Kish & Adam Jenny Goff and Great-Grandson: Wyatt Kish. Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, daughter: Teresa Sanderson, sisters: Linda Hamilton and Neva Lindblon and grandson: Jason Goff. Visitation will be 10-11AM, Saturday, August 14, 2010 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Deron Fourman at 11:00AM following visitation. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Johnnie can be given to the Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church or Riverview Nursing Home.
