John Williams

April 22, 1938 — July 17, 2021

John Williams, Jr, age 83, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence. The son of John and Adnetta, he was born April 22, 1938 in Scott, MS. As a young man in Mississippi, John worked for Delta & Pine Land Company, later moving to Toledo in search of better work. While in Toledo, he worked various jobs. He work at a foundry until it closed and then with Supreme Bumper until starting with Doehler-Jarvis where he worked for over 25 years. John loved to work on his cars. He enjoyed bingo and playing the lottery. In his younger years he sang Gospel Music. He was very handy around the house and could fix almost anything. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughter, Marcy Williamson; granddaughter, Deja; nephews, Tyrone and Chris Williamson. He was preceded in death by his sons, Dominic and Rinko and a sister. Bertha Williams. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
