John Wamsley

John Wamsley, 66 of Port Clinton, passed away early Monday morning, August 19, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born in West Virginia on October 13, 1946, the son of Thelma Logan and Ezra Monroe Wamsley, Sr. John married Mary Peg Smeltzer on July 26, 1969 in Sandusky. John retired in 2011 from Lafarge Marblehead Quarry and was a member of the Port Clinton Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Peg; sons: Scott Angie Wamsley of Rittman, OH & John Mike Brenda Wamsley of Marblehead; grandchildren: Brittany, Breanna, Caitlyn Wamsley of Marblehead, Teagan & Andrew Wamsley of Rittman; step grandchildren: Jamie, Nick, Matt & Amanda Jon; great grandchildren: Cali Jo sisters: Nora Stuart Lofton & Edna Marie Doctor both of Oak Harbor and Greetis Lawley of Alabama; brothers: Henry Linda & Gary Terry both of Port Clinton and Danny Deb of Oak Harbor; Godchild: Nichole Renee Wamsley of Oak Harbor; special nieces: Patricia Rose of Alabama & Annette Carter of Port Clinton; numerous nieces & nephews, friends and Johns dog and faithful companion Blue. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Charles & Ezra, Jr. and niece: Lacy Marie.
