John S. Jack Walterbach

John “Jack” S. Walterbach, 65, of Marblehead, OH, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Genoa Care Retirement Center, Genoa, OH. Jack was born on December 14, 1952 in Teaneck, NJ, the son of Robert E. and Dorothy R. (Fernekes) Walterbach. He received an associates degree in applied science from Owens college, landscape design. On April 25, 1981, in Cleveland, OH, he married Debra A. McLaughlin and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2011. Those left to cherish his memory are: Son: Stephen (Michelle Stech) Walterbach of Marblehead; Mother: Dorothy R. Walterbach; Brothers: Thomas (Eileen) Walterbach and Richard (Gayle) Walterbach, both of Ohio; Sisters: Sue (Jim) Brehm of Florida and Laurie (Daniel) Argenti of New Jersey; Many Loving Nieces and Nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his wife and father Visitation will be from 10-1PM, Monday, January 08, 2018 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, Ohio, with a ceremony conducted by the Danbury Fire Dept. followed by the memorial service conducted by Pastor Steve Lutz at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be directed to the Danbury Fire Dept, Genoa Care Center Activities Fund, Stein Hospice or Meals On Wheels.
