John A. Shiffert

John A. Shiffert, 72, of Oak Harbor, died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 14, 1945. John worked as a semi-truck driver. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Oak Harbor American Legion. He also enjoyed collecting guns. John is survived by his son, Roger L. Shiffert and daughter, Tamara L. Rost, several grandchildren, his dog Patches and close friends, Patricia and Melvin Michael and their family. His parents preceded him in death. Per Johns wishes, there will be no services and cremation will take place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions for John may be given to the donors choice or towards the expenses of the funeral.
