John G. Saris

John G. Saris, 89, of Oak Harbor passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to George and Mary (McClean) Saris. On March 12, 1954 he married Mary Browning, and she survives. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. John worked in sales for most of his life, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed reading, the Cleveland Browns, Frank Sinatra, singing, and time with his family. John is survived by his wife, Mary of 64 years, daughter, Penny (Jim) Juhasz, son, George Saris, grandkids, Alexandria Miracola, Justin (Stephanie Parks) Miracola, Jason (Amanda Hansen) Miracola, and Brian Saris, and great grandkids, Dyllan, Cedie, Brookie, Brayden, Chase, and Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Nick Saris, Coster Saris, Callie Meserko, and Elaine Fishman. Memorial services for John will be conducted by Pastor Bill Blue, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Shoreline Church, Oak Harbor. Any memorial contributions may be given in care of the family. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements. John loved Jesus, lived honorably and loved his family greatly. He will be forever missed. We love you with all our hearts.
