John Thomas Rogers

John Thomas Rogers, age 70, of Maumee, Ohio formerly of Monclova, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee. John was born in Carlisle County, Kentucky on January 8, 1945 to Henry C. and Ruby Mae (Allen) Rogers. John was employed as a machinist at Champion Spark Plug for more than 20 years and was a member of the U.A.W. He enjoyed spending time with his family and relaxing down by the Maumee River. John was an avid Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Surviving are his children, Laura Cervantes, Raymond (Kathy) Hall Jr. and Ruby (Matt) Condon; grandchildren, David, John, Ray. Benjamin, Laura, Christopher, William, Brian and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Wayne (Betty) Rogers; sisters, Ann Crawford, Mae Venters and Virginia Collom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna and Dorothy and many half brothers and sisters. A memorial service for John will be held at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Milton Township Cemetery.
