John T. Reuss

John Theodore Reuss of Houston, TX passed away February 6, 2010 after a long illness. He was born in Toledo, OH on August 6, 1939. He is now at peace with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his wife Dianna, daughter Tina, and parents Harry and Betty Reuss from Ohio. He is survived by his sister Jeanette Lentz of Curtice, OH and brother Bill Reuss of Bardstown, KY, children Robin Kreais and Scott Reuss of Bowling Green, OH and April Loomis and John Reuss, Jr. of Houston, TX. John is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a 1957 graduate of Oak Harbor High School in Ohio. He served two years in the Ohio Air National Guard and then United States Air Force for ten years completing his service as a Vietnam Era Veteran at Lackland Air Force Base San Antonio, TX. He and his wife Dianna made Houston their home in 1980 and his primary endeavor was construction of both commercial and residential properties in Houston and Southeast Texas. John was an avid fan of the History Channel, fire trucks, military aircraft, and befriended many lost or abandoned pets, especially cats, providing food, water and sometimes shelter for those who were left behind. A graveside service for John will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Friends and family are invited to attend. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
