John B. Ellis Ramey

John B. Ellis Ramey, 82, of Chapmanville WV, departed this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Dignity Hospice House in Chapmanville. He was born July 12, 1935 in Wayne, WV a son of the late Thomas and Sara Ramey of Wayne WV. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Steve Ramey, Nan Ramey, Ace Fox Maynard, and Rachel Fox Maynard; his in-laws, William Thelma Flint; sisters, Violet Sheppard, Rachel Blankenship, Elosie Ricketts, Doris Farriss and Eldean Wellman; two brothers, Cleston Ramey and Wedstal Ramey. John enjoyed teaching the Bible in church, reading, watching tv, playing cards, spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Patricia Ramey; two daughters Connie (Rick Golden) Findlay and Michelle (Mark) King; four sons, Bob (Sandy) Ramey, John Ramey, Mark Ramey, and Matthew (Crystal) Ramey; one sister, Shealah Ramey; two brothers, Ace Ramey and Victor Ramey; five grandchildren, John, Evan, Kayla, Aleena, and Kaylee Jo; two step grandchildren, Brandy, and Tim; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Lila Rose. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jeff Mosteller and James Marcum officiating. Burial will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home.
