John T. Patterson III, age 64, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008. He was born August 5, 1943 in Arizona to John Jr. and Helen Patterson. He was a design technician at Poggemeyer Design Group for 15 years until his retirement in 2006. John was a devoted son, loving father and grandfather. He was an avid photographer who loved attending his childrens and grandchildrens sporting events and extracurricular activities. John is survived by his mother, Helen Patterson; daughters, Jane Eric Wharton Patterson, Judie Rob Swartz, Wendy Robin Zaletta; son, Bradley Kathryn Pelz Patterson ; grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah and Clayton Swartz and Emma, Alaina and Lydia Zaletta; sister, Karen Dana Klein; and former wife of 27 years, Carol Patterson. He is also survived by a nephew, many nieces, friends too numerous to mention, and his loving dog, Ellie. He was preceded in death by his father, John Patterson, Jr. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, June 8, from 1-7:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue west of Corey Rd. where a memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9 at 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donors choice.
