John Franklin Parrish

John Franklin Parrish, resident of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 24th, 2019 at the age of 57. John was born in Paju, South Korea on July 9th, 1962 to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parrish. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1985 with a degree in Business and an associate’s in Radiology, working for St. Vincent’s Medical Center until his retirement. John Parrish, a Father, Son, Self-proclaimed handyman, avid sports fan. He enjoyed starting many house projects and even sometimes finished some. He enjoyed watching football, and had no problem telling coaches how they screwed up….from the nose bleeds of their stadiums or the from the comfort of his own home. John is survived by his mother, children Kristopher (Maria) and Benjamin (Haley Matuszynski), grandchildren Kaseton and Kolton, siblings Veronica Bailey, Susan and Chris (Kristy) and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews across several families. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Parrish. A memorial open house will take place on Sunday, December 15th, 2019 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623. Donations can be made to Cherry Street Mission or a local homeless shelter.
