John H. Overholt

John Huston Overholt, age 87, of Genoa, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Charles Hospital.  He was born on April 9, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Vern and Mollie (Hysell) Overholt.  John was a veteran of the United States Navy and was part of the Seebee’s.  He was a supervisor at both Chrysler and General Mills and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the VFW and American Legion, all in Genoa.  John was an avid fisherman and built model rockets.  He was a jack of all trades and loved to make star ornaments at Christmas time and pass them out at church.

John is survived by his wife, Charlotte, sons, Scott, Keith (Michelle), David and Kenneth (Sue) Overholt and Kirk; grandsons, Nathan (Amanda) and Aaron (Dani); 5 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Barb) Overholt; sister-in-law, Marilyn, several nieces, nephews and a lot of friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Vern Overholt.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main Street, Genoa, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church.  The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements and online condolences my be given at www.wakerfuneralhomes.com
