John Arnold Molnar, Sr.

John Arnold Molnar, Sr., 87, of Toledo, passed away after a short illness on Sunday February 3, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on May 31, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Helen Vigh Molnar. John was married to his soul mate and love of his life Irene Valerie Domansky for 58 loving years , and she preceded him in death in 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a sergeant in WWII. For 27 years, John was the chemical lab supervisor for Toledo Edison, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church in Toledo and also enjoyed camping and traveling. Most of all John loved spending time with the family and loved watching all of the commotion with the children. John is survived by his children, John A. Cathy Molnar, Jr., Robert P.Kelly Molnar, Anne Marie Thomas Westmeyer, grandchildren, Jason Lisa Molnar, Kristie Chris McAllister, Melissa Tom Glaze, Christopher Regina, Matthew Jennifer, Patrick Molnar, Schuyler, McKenzie, Karl, Keith, KimberlyToby Westmeyer, 13 great grandchildren, and sister, JoAnn Dick Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Jeanette. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537, where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, Toledo, Ohio. Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Gardens, Waterville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Patricks Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614.
