John P. Milham, age 85, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on March 27, 2026. He was born on August 28, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, to Philip and Frances Milham.
John was a man of intelligence, humor, and deep devotion to those he loved. He possessed an excellent sense of humor and a quick wit that made time spent with him memorable. He especially enjoyed playing cards with friends, with a particular love for the game of bridge. Whether around a card table or sharing stories, John's presence brought laughter and warmth.
A lifelong adventurer, John had a passion for travel. He and his beloved wife, Suzanne, explored the country and the world together, embarking on more than 50 cruises to destinations throughout the Caribbean and Alaska. They were always planning their next adventure, often finding the very best travel deals thanks to John's careful research and savvy planning. Las Vegas was another favorite destination, where John enjoyed gambling and proved to be quite good at it.
At home, John was endlessly resourceful. If something needed to be done, he would research it, learn how to do it, and take pride in completing home improvement projects himself. He enjoyed working with his hands and solving problems. He also found great joy in gardening and lovingly tending to the koi fish in the pond he and Suzanne maintained together. They also enjoyed working on puzzles side by side, a reflection of their shared patience and teamwork.
John and Suzanne were married for 56 wonderful years until her passing in May of 2025. They were truly inseparable, each other's best friend, and the love of one another's lives. Their partnership was marked by loyalty, laughter, and a shared sense of adventure.
Professionally, John was the owner of Micro Information Systems, a computer consulting company through which he provided expert guidance and technological support to numerous organizations. He was respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and forward-thinking approach in the evolving field of computer technology.
John was a proud patriot who loved the United States and carried a deep appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities it provided.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Cathy Robinson; his niece, Debra Farnham; and his nephews, David (Kathy) Berndt, Donald Berndt, and Danyl Berndt; and his great-nephew Jonathan Farnham.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne Milham, and his parents, Philip and Frances Milham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
