John C. Lewis

John Clarence Lewis, age 79 of Maumee, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in St. Lukes Hospital. He was born December 13, 1937 in Toledo to Lawrence and Ruth (Huss) Lewis. John proudly served in the United States Army for 38 years and was a printer at Ward Printing. He was also a part-time employee at The Andersons. John was an avid sports fan, who never failed to show his love for his favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. More important to John was his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Rita and Anne; and brothers Jerry and Larry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene; daughter Kimberly (Ryan Routhe) Braden; grandchildren Andrea, Jacob and Olivia Braden; great-grandchildren Zoey, Zane and Zander; and brothers Jim, Richard (Eunice), Donald and Robert (Virginia) Lewis. Friends may visit the family on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11 AM until 2 PM followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
