John K. Lever, Jr., 73, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to John, Sr. and Harriet (Nooney) Lever on March 3, 1945. John worked as a teacher for many years and taught in various schools. John’s hobbies included painting and glassblowing, which he loved. He was a member of the 577 Foundation in Perrysburg and volunteered at Hospice. He also loved gardening, fishing, bird watching, and traveled all over the world. He is survived by his sister, Jane (Steve) Spirn, of Denver, CO; brother, Jeff Lever, of Perrysburg, OH; nephews, Ben (Shaena) Freeman, Bryan (Hee Sook) Lever and their children, Grace and Noah Lever; niece, Kelly (Adam) Lever Russell; great-nephews, Sage Lever Russell, Nyah Lever Russell; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Following John’s wishes, no services will be held. John will be placed in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
