John Fred Kampfer, age 88 of Maumee passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Whitehouse Country Manor. He was born June 22, 1928 in Monclova, Ohio to Elmer and Ocia (Malott) Kampfer. John retired from the former Maumee Stone Company where he was an equipment operator. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and a brother; he is survived by daughters Julie Romaker and Karrie Urbanski; son John David Kampfer; grandchildren; and brothers and sisters. There is no visitation and services will be private.
