John W. Jett, Jr., 76, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Toledo Hospital surrounded by family and friends. John was born January 6, 1939, to John, Sr. and Beulah Jett. He was employed for many years and retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio. He loved golfing, casino bingo and IPad slot games. John was also an avid Ohio State, Toledo Walleye and Detroit Red Wings fan. John loved and looked out for his family and friends and will be missed forever. John is survived by his wife, Patricia (Kelly) Jett, son, Daniel (Marlene) Jett, granddaughter, Samantha and grandson, Dakota; daughter, Jennifer (Jerry) Salyers, step granddaughter, Allison and step grandson, Jayce. Also, from a previous marriage, he is survived by his son, John (Tami) Jett III, grandsons, Harley and Hunter, a great granddaughter and daughter, Tamara Jett, as well as an uncle, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, George Jett, grandson, Trevor Jett, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Per Johns request, services will be private. A Celebration of Life Gathering, with light refreshments, will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Lake Township Hall, 27975 Cummings Rd. (at the corner of St. Rt. 795), Millbury. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
