John Edwin Jessing, loving husband and father of three, and resident of Sylvania, OH, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2015 at the age of 46 while at work. John was born in Dearborn, MI on June 23, 1968. He played football at Wayne State University from where he graduated in 1990 with a degree in psychology. John worked as a sales manager for Vico Products for over twenty years. He married the love of his life, Kris Palmer on May 16, 1992 and together they had two daughters and a son, who were the most important part of his life. John was a devoted son, husband, and father. He was an avid sports fan, well-traveled, and loved working in his yard. He was known for his bright and broad smiles and his easy laugh. John lived a life worth aspiring to and many looked up to him as their hero. He taught many lessons to his children through his role as father and coach over the years they shared. In that he lives on. John will be missed by his friends, family, and all who knew them. John is survived by his parents, Dyan and Phil Osborn; wife, Kris Jessing; children, Jessica, Kendall, and Logan Jessing; brother, Kevin Jessing; sisters, Keleigh Lee and Jamie Osborn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin Toby and June Baxter, as well as John and Mary Jessing. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) with a reception immediately following at Boulevard Church of Christ, 7041 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, Ohio 43560. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested for the benevolence of the family and can be made at the funeral home or at any Key Bank location (For the Benefit of (FBO) John Jessing).
