John E. Hendricks

John E. Hendricks, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Monday March 12, 2012 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born in Toledo to Jerry and Edna Hendricks on February 4, 1924. A veteran of World War II Navy, he was a steel fabricator for the former Odlind Iron retiring in 1982. He enjoyed woodworking after his retirement. John was always fond of telling people how he et his wife on one day and married her the next, a marriage that lasted over 66 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Whopshall and nine other brothers and sisters. Surviving is his wife of over 66 years, Lillian; sons, John and Rick Kate Hendricks; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
