John W. Gose

John W. Gose, 65, of Genoa, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2016, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, after his courageous battle with cancer. John was born July 7, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles and Catherine (McLaren) Gose. He married Jeanne M. Habel in Monroe, Michigan, and she survives. He retired from Jeep Corp. in Toledo after 24 years. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Genoa. John was a family man and enjoyed numerous family vacations to Walt Disney World. In addition to his wife, Jeanne, John is survived by his sons, John W. Gose, Jr. (Mara) of Charlotte, NC, Michael A. Gose (Shannon) of Genoa and Daniel J. Gose (Sarah) of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Casey, Carly, Caitlin, Jacob, Benjamin, Syrna, and Braylon Gose and Grace and Makala Tenney; and siblings, Joyce Harteis of Toledo, Hazel Charles of Perrysburg, Minervia Heath of Shelbyville, IN, Mary Munoz of Toledo and Eva Nagel of Swanton. His parents and brothers, Charles, Robert, Fred, Walter, and June Gose, preceded him in death. Visitation for John will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2016, at St. Johns United Church in Genoa. In lieu of flowers, memorials for John may be directed to St. Johns United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, OH 43430; or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
