John J. Gezo

John J. Gezo, 67, of Graytown, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on February 13, 1943 in Toledo to Steven and Beulah Bauer Gezo. He loved the outdoors, including gardening, fishing, hunting and traveling to the warmer states. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Western Southern Life Insurance and The National Bank of Oak Harbor. He also formerly owned and operated numerous construction companies, a gas station and also The Platium on the East Side of Toledo and The Grapevine in Curtice. John is survived by his loving family: son: Mike Jacki Gezo of Graytown; grandchildren: Abbie and Alex Gezo of Graytown and Noah Shapiro of Maumee; sister: Beverly Gary Wamer; brother: Steven Gezo; special nephew: Gary Kim Wamer; and nieces: Jackie Al Mercer and Kelly Gezo. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Stacy Gezo-Shapiro. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be given to Back to the Wild Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Castalia, OH or the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
