John Fletcher, 53, of Perrysburg, Ohio, died in a tragic accident while on the job on the Ohio Turnpike on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He was born on Thanksgiving day in 1958 in Norwalk, Ohio to Forest and Jeanne Fletcher. John was a graduate of Western Reserve High School and Bowling Green State University. He was currently employed at the Ohio Turnpike Commission as an Assistant Foreman, where he had been employed for almost 30 years. He also worked for National Family Opinion in Northwood, Ohio and Hershey Food Corporation. John was a loving husband and father. He cherished his children and the joy they brought to him. He prided himself on giving generously and making sure his family had the very best. John’s children were the most important thing in his life. He loved spending time with his family and looked forward to the long family vacations taken every year. John also enjoyed trains and was interested in History. John is survived by his loving wife, Amy L. Fletcher; children, Christopher, Lorna and Katie; and brothers, David Fletcher of Euclid, Ohio and Jim (Pam) Fletcher. He is preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 601 E. Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, where funeral services will be held following the visitation at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Dennis Ditto officiating. Burial will be private. The Ohio Turnpike Commission and State Highway Patrol will provide a private escort for the family to Grace United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the F. John Fletcher Children’s Fund at any Key Bank. The family wishes to express a frequent quote from John, “Slow down, enjoy life.
