This handsome guy joined Barbara Fillion in heaven on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. She was the love of his life and has been waiting for him in heaven for 11 years. Together, they had four children who survive. Christina “Tina” Yoppolo, John (Heidi) Fillion, Diane (Pat Spino) and Joe (Cathy) Fillion. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Michelle Fillion (Jon Davis), Amy (Derick) Creech, Joe Fillion, Lauren (Victor Okowita), Carrie Yoppolo, and Matt, Andrew, and Tim Fillion. He also was great-grandpa to Emerson and Sloan Davis, and Reid, Owen, and Grant Okowita.
John was a “jack of all trades” and master of most of them. He was still on golf leagues at the age of 92! He proudly served in the 82nd Airborne. He was a golden glove boxer, drove stock cars, and did a bit of acting. John was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
John lived an exemplary life as a loving spouse, great father and a friend to all who knew him.
