John E. Collins

John Edward Collins Jr., age 64, died peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, January 2, 2008 surrounded by his loving family and very close friends. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 28, 1943 to Mary and John Collins, Sr. On October 26, 1991 John married Margaret Mary Lahey at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, OH. John was a 1961 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby. He was a 1966 graduate of Villanova University. John was employed with Owens Corning for 34 years as a financial manager, retiring in 1998. John continued to work for various organizations and most recently with Harbor Behavorial Services until February 2007. As early as his college years, John enjoyed the art of cooking. He was well known among family and friends for his ability to create gourmet meals. His primary interest in cooking was to show his love for his family and friends by what he prepared.
