John A. Dickey

February 18, 1938 — December 28, 2020

John A Dickey, 82, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Monday December 28, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Erie, PA to Wayne and Grace Dickey. One of four children, John and his family grew up in Girard, PA. John attended Washington Jefferson College, and served in the United States Air Force 1959-1963, as an Airman First Class in Security/Intelligence. He proudly served his country and was stationed in both Pakistan and Japan. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he married the love of his life, Nancy McKean. He started a 39year career as a Sales Engineer for Titan Tool Co. Together he and Nancy had three fun loving daughters. John had a big zest for life and loved nothing more than family gatherings and a good hearty laugh. John enjoyed his Grandchildren and loved having them so close by. He loved being with them and hearing all about their latest shenanigans. John will be forever in our hearts and we will all look forward to sharing his “famous” Roast Leg of Salmon one day. John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy; Daughters: Lisa (Ken) Newton; Kristina (Todd) King; Carolyn (Christopher) Lopez; Grandchildren: Kadi Rae, Hanna, Grant, Madison and Garret. Sister Patricia (Elmer) Stainbrook, Brother Roger (Sara) Dickey. Preceded in death by his parents and twin brother James (Nancy) Dickey. Special mention of his brothers-in-law Ed McKean and Brian McKean, wife (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. Those wishing to honor John may do so with a tribute to First United Methodist Church of Perrysburg or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A private memorial will be scheduled for a later date. Online condolences may be shared at walkerfuneralhomes.com
