John A Cable

John A. Cable age 93, of Maumee, OH passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital. John was born in Maumee on January 20, 1920 to George and Laura Hertzfeld Cable. He was employed at Gulf Oil Company for many years until his retirement. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was Army Veteran serving his country in WWII. John enjoyed drawing and painting. John is survived by his sons, Dr. Thomas A. Becky and Gary Marcella Cable and grandsons, Brian and Marco Cable. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane in 2008; and brothers, Robert and Nelson Cable. Friends and family may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday January 19, 2014 from 4-8 pm with Knights of Columbus Service at 7:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
