John Albert Briner

March 20, 1940 — April 11, 2023

John “Jack” Briner passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born to Ralph and Luella (Sunderhaus) Briner on March 20, 1940, in Coldwater, Ohio. He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Finance. He served our country as a Reservist in the United States Air force and was honorably discharged in 1968. Jack was a true sports enthusiast, with a deep love for his teams proudly supporting Bowling Green State University, The Ohio State University, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Browns. He knew the stats, the players, and the history of his teams, and his passion for sports was contagious, inspiring others to share in his joy and excitement. From golf trips with Jan, watching or better yet attending The Masters, Jack had a love for the game.

Jack had a remarkable athletic career of his own. He began playing sports at a young age which continued though his college career. His love for the game continued throughout his life coaching basketball, baseball, and nurturing his grandkids in the game of golf.

Jack was known for his kind and humble nature, always putting others before himself. He had a heart of gold and was quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. His selflessness and generosity touched the lives of many and left a lasting impact on his community. Above all, Jack's unwavering faith in God was the cornerstone of his life. He lived by his convictions, and his faith was evident in the way he treated others with love, respect, and compassion. He was a true example of a man of God, and his faith guided him in all aspects of his life.

Jack's love for his family was immeasurable. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, and his presence brought warmth and joy to every gathering.
