John L. Berlin

John L. Berlin, 55, of Oak Harbor, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born January 4, 1959, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Eugene F. and Margaret V. (Bodi) Berlin. John was a 1978 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and a lifelong resident of Oak Harbor, who enjoyed visiting with friends. He liked being outside and working in the yard and especially loved fishing and hunting. John is survived by his brothers, Kenny Berlin of Genoa, Victor Berlin of Oak Harbor and Harry (Sherry) Berlin of Scottsburg, IN; nieces and nephews, Josh and Leanna Berlin and Eugene Berlin; and his grandmother, Mary Bodi of Oak Harbor. He is also survived by special friends, Diana (Mark) Weiker of Green Springs, OH, and their children, Dustin, Brian and Erica Weiker, Kimberly (Chris) Girdham of Reading, MI, Cindy Waite of Northwood, and Crystal (James) Marble of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jeanie Berlin and Jim and Carolyn Pridemore, who John thought of as his mom and dad. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate John’s life from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorials for John may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 N. Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870.
