John George Ault

John G. Ault age 84 of Perrysburg, OH passed away on September 20, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital. John was born in Perrysburg on November 11, 1927 to William C. and Matilda Lucy Kiefer Ault. John was a farmer for 38 years and drove school bus for Rossford Schools. John served his country, the region, Wood County and Perrysburg Township throughout his entire life. John was a WWII Army Veteran and a charter member of the Perrysburg Township Fire Department and Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce. John was a Perrysburg Township Trustee for 10 years; a Wood County Commissioner for 15 years; served on the Board of Directors for TMACOG; an active participant in the American Legion Buckeye Boys State program; served on the Board of Trustees of Owens Community College for 22 years, Wood County Regional Water and Sewer District, Banc Ohio and Citizens Bank. John was also a Director of Perrysburg Grain and Supply for 15 years. John was awarded the Spirit of Wood County Award for outstanding service in self government. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 2322, Wood County Farm Bureau and Lucky Legion 240. John was also an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. John is survived his loving wife of 63 years, Leona; sons, Rick Kenda, Tim Amy and Bill Beth Ault; grandchildren, Amy Brad Keller, Nicole G.T Parris, Daniel Aly Ault, Dana Glenn Merritt, Rick Kristy Ault and Jeremy Ault; great-grandchildren, Paul and Addison Parris, Ava and Ryder Ault, Mason, Rylan and Quinn Merritt, Evan and Henry Keller. Also surviving is his sister, Barbara Sattler. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother in-law, Robert Sattler. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Monday September 24, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Rose Catholic Church 215 E. Front St. Perrysburg. Interment will follow at Ft.
