Joeva T. Schlipf

Joeva T. Schlipf, 81, of LaCarne, OH passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living of Fremont, Fremont, OH. She was born on June 16, 1935 in Toledo, OH to Ervin and Audrey (Humphrey) Barnes. On August 6, 1955 in Port Clinton, OH she married Roger Schlipf, and he survives. Her first job was with Matthews Boat Co. in Port Clinton. Joeva then worked for the former Port Clinton National Bank and Huntington National Bank for 30 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Focht Construction for 10 years. Joeva was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church Women. In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Roger, she is survived by her sisters, Wilhelmina “Willie” Barnes and JudyAnn E. (Ken) Buehler, brother, Charles “Chuck” (Carolyn) Barnes, and many nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Interment will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, LaCarne, OH. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Joeva to Faith United Methodist Church, the Erie Township Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, or Stein Hospice.
