Joelle M. Oberski

Joelle Marie (Ditzhazy) Oberski, age 50, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Matthew for 24 years and loving mother of Kaitlyn, Jacob, Emily and Henry. Joelle was born December 21, 1967 and grew up in Lansing, MI. She is the daughter of Joseph and Janet Ditzhazy. Joelle graduated from Lansing Catholic Central High School and Michigan Technological University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and where met her loving husband, Matthew. Joelle worked as a medical technologist and loved working in the laboratory. When her children were born, she began her career as a stay at home mom and devoted countless hours volunteering for the communities of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Cub Scouts, the Girl Scouts and St. Francis High School. Joelle loved spending time with family. She especially loved going to the family cottage where she enjoyed fishing, swimming, crafting and her favorite - sitting around the campfire enjoying the evening. Joelle loved traveling and exploring new places – whether a new hiking trail or a big city. She loved her kids and husband beyond measure and always worked to make events extra special for those she loved. Her smile shone of warmth and kindness and captivated all that met her. Besides her husband, Matthew, Joelle leaves behind her children Kaitlyn, Jacob, Emily and Henry. As well as her siblings, Jeanne Brondi and Jennifer (Anthony) Greenburg, parents, Joseph and Janet Ditzhazy of Lansing, and mother and father–in-law Dan and Rosemary Oberski of Shelby Township, MI., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts uncles, cousins and close friends. Friends and family may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home at, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm with a rosary service at 7:00pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.walkerfuneralhome.com
