Joelle A. Floriana, of Perrysburg, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her home. She was born July 1, 1968, in New York, New York, to Jerome and Judith (Lamb) McBride. She grew up in both New York and Ohio making many long term friends along the way. She received college degrees from Marist College in New York and returned to Ohio to earn her Doctor of Philosophy degree at Bowling Green State University. Joelle devoted her professional career to helping others as a Clinical Psychologist specializing in child and family therapy.
Joelle was a devoted mother to her two sons, Cameron and Connor. She was actively involved in their lives, whether directing the St. Rose Vacation Bible School, volunteering with Perrysburg Frank Elementary Parents Club, or supporting fundraising for St. Francis de Sales School, where her boys participated in football, basketball, and baseball. Joelle had a deep love for animals and was involved in local animal rescue helping cats and dogs in her community. Joelle enjoyed hiking, spending time outdoors, reading and cooking. She was extremely family-oriented and cherished spending time with her friends. Joelle will be remembered for her fearless individuality and fun, expressive hair colors.
She is survived by her sons, Cameron Floriana and Connor Floriana; her sister, Julie (Joel LeCaptain) Stepp; her niece and nephew, Nicole and Nathan Stepp; her niece, Elizabeth Portales; former spouse, Theodore Floriana and her best friend, Ivy Hahn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family will be received Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, where a memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private in St. Rose Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in line with her life’s work to NAMI - National Alliance for Mental Illness.
