Joe B. Mccully

Joe B. McCully, age 83 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Sunday August 24, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Memphis, TN on January 30th, 1925 to James and Zetta Mae Williams McCully. He was a WWII Army veteran earning a Bronze Star in the European Theatre. Joe was a graduate of The University of Toledo Cum Laude with a bachelor degree in Professional Engineering. He was employed at Surface Combustion for 30 years retiring in 1980 and owned patents in furnace designs. He was a member of National Society of Professional Engineers. Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Veronica; daughter, Teresa Teri Dave Martell; grandchildren, Kate, Jonathan Brooke, Andrew and great-grandson, Cameron. Also surviving are sister-in-laws, Virginia McCully and Mary McCully. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and James and step-father, Emery Becker. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Wednesday August 27, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Lukes Hospital Foundation.
